Preventing Stretch Marks
May 8th, 2010 by Mike

If our skin is forced to stretch quickly because of things like pregnancy, weight gain, bodybuilding or sometimes even puberty it may not bounce back as we may like. These types of things often cause the scarring we know as stretch marks. Even though they may start purplish, after a while they will become more silvery in color, but unless you try something like Tummy Honey Cream these marks won’t go away without some help.

There are an assortment of treatments for these unsightly scars, but the results may vary depending on a person’s skin tone, diet, age and age of the stretch marks. Treatment options can include things like surgery to lotions to diet.

Surgical methods may be something like dermabrasion, laser surgery or even cosmetic surgery like a tummy tuck, depending on the location of the scars.

If you want a less intrusive type of treatment you may prefer to look into stretch mark serums. Some of these creams function best when used to prevent stretch marks, but others can help lighten them after they have developed.

Another non invasive way to handle stretch marks is through exercise and diet. If you eat a wholesome, well-rounded diet you will get the nutrients needed to help your skin remain healthy and more elastic. If it is able to stretch your chances of developing these scars will be significantly lower. It’s also essential to drink enough of H2O to retain your skin’s health. Exercise is also a good way to keep the skin stretchy. Exercise enhances circulation which in turn keeps the skin healthy.

Even though these unsightly skin scars don’t create any health hazard, most people prefer to treat them since they are unattractive and may have an affect on how people think about themselves.
