Matte Watch – Weekly Photo Contest
July 25th, 2009 by Mike

Mark your calendar for July 2009. That is the month when we will launch a new series of photo contests that give you chances to win prizes on weekly, monthly, and even yearly levels. Monthly and yearly winners will be chosen from our weekly contest winners, as participation increases. Our kick off theme will be scenery photos. Enter by submitting your favorite photo of local vistas in our weekly photography contests. Your picture must be in .JPG format, under 4mb each in file size, and given a unique name to avoid being overwritten by other participants. Use the following URL to enter your photo of the week:

When your upload is completed, send an email to the email address on the Matte Watch photo contest site telling us the name of your photo file, a description of where your shot was taken, and mention your desire to enter our weekly photo contest. Do not try to enter the contest by attaching your picture to an email message; we cannot guarantee photos from emails will be submitted for the contest. The top 3 winners will be selected each weekend, with contestants notified by email. Prizes awarded will be posted to the site for downloading. For winners who do not wish to keep their prizes posted on our site, notify us by email that you wish to have your prize removed from view. We will also reserve the right to refuse any inappropriate or substandard submissions from contest consideration.

Weekly winners will be acknowledged by a first, second, and third place digital award, including their name, winning date, the prize winning photo, and photo location information where available. The top 3 weekly winners will automatically be eligible to compete in the monthly contest, within the month of their weekly entry. See our monthly contest posting for details about monthly prizes available. As we post the winning entries on Saturday, we will also announce any changes to the theme for the next week’s contest.

Lack of participation at any contest level may lead to prizes at that level not being awarded, but lower participation increases your chances for winning. Get started winning free prizes made from your favorite pictures. There will never be better chances for you to win than right now, so don’t wait…enter today.
