It is human nature to take some things for granted especially when they don’t seem to add much value to life. Some days ago I read about how a woman was struggling to put in the duvet in the duvet cover to the point of labelling them “useless” and complicated. In my lifetime I have share a number of times about duvet covers online and all that stuff, however, it just came to me that I have never really shared about this – ever.
Allow me to share with you some of the easier way you can employ when doing this. Hopefully it will save you from the frustration and possible damage to your king duvet covers with colorful mix of patterns .
Different people do this differently. I once met a woman who actually crawls inside her flannel duvet cover so she can be able to pull the comforter and fit it into place. In my opinion, this is too much work – for starters you have to lay the cover on the floor, which can mess it up especially and may even collect some invisible germs.
Here is a better option, just roll it up like a carpet. Then just put it inside and unroll it. Alternatively you can just turn the cover inside out and then line it up perfectly before turning it right side out. While inside out just line up the quilt with the inside seam of the cover. And then once you have lined it up just flip it right side out. While doing it make sure you keep holding on to the corners.
My last recommendation is to buy and use some duvet clips. You use these clips to hold the quilt with the inside seam together so when you flip the cover right side out it fits perfectly into position. A metal clip is fine but try to find a soft foam one for best results. Now once you have the clips on to the seam and quilt you can then just flit the cover right side out.
